Just wanted to share how enjoyable of an experience I had on Friday August 28th 2026 being served by the young Dray (she was great!) and has excellent food by chef Bruce. If the owner is reading this, these two are gems, the food was amazing and surprisingly big for the price point.

The food was delicious. I had the Karaage Chicken Bites and BBQ Brisket Bowl. Our Server Kevin was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great place. Not cheap, but we got the steak tips, and the chicken sandos. Both were very good with great presentation and service to boot. The main area was very busy and a bit loud, but there’s a tiki bar area on the side that had almost no one in it, and was quiet during the evening of a Saturday during the ... Woodward dream cruise, even. So that was perfect, and I have nothing but praise for them. They also have an outdoor patio area which is cool. Honey butter pancakes were delicious. The hangover hash was good - the best part was the slightly sweet and smoky sausage and shishito peppers served on a stick. The wildeberry mimosa was quite refreshing. Extra points to our server for preparing a delicious mocha for me upon request even though they didnt have it on ... the menu. The atmosphere, service and food were all spectacular. We had the crab lagoon cheese katsu sticks as an appetizer. The crispy outer shell was nothing compared to the creamy and satisfying cheese pulls. We were hungry, so I didnt get a Pic. Pictured below is the entree I had: BBQ Brisket Bowl. Yall. It was so ... flavorful. It hit every flavor pallet imaginable, from savory, subtle sweet and heat. The texture of this meal was just as diverse. I loved everything to the discovery of how to get to restaurant, it is so colorful in Ferndale we parked in the back. On Sunday parking is always free when it comes to street parking out in Ferndale. Back to the restaurant the decor is like a new-age comic book that shows respect to the past like samurai jack but rave ... club scenes to show progression. We did use the back door, at first we felt lost it was our first time here. This gentleman Caleb who was shift yet gracefully comes out of nowhere, so kindly shows us the way he checks us in. He kindly explained that we can use the back door but to check in, we come to the front. He also said parking is better coming through the back door. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, oh my my my. I got to say thank you to our beloved server Briah who took care of us. She was nice and patient make sure to help guide us through the menu, she gave us amazing recommendations for the food. I also must say Caleb helps with my husbands drink picks. My husband told me he loved that drink Strawberry Zen, he explained he could not taste the alcohol. My husband enjoyed everything. To the Crab Rangoon Katsu cheese sticks, the crispiness of how it was fried to the cream cheese sweet flavor, to the freshness of the ingredients, the herbs and spices, well seasoned in every bite, I was highly impressed checked my boxes for texture and taste. We then had the tuna belly tartare, the tuna belly it was so buttery and was topped with fresh green scallions with the crispy crisp given. I was sad, I remembered I had to share yet I it was okay I knew we had more coming our way. I had my nice crisy fried rice with, a creamy crunchy AAC roll, and sweet perfectly formed one piece salmon nigiri. I was full, yet I was leaving there with nothing on the plate. He had one Shikotsu roll, one Double trouble roll with one mackerel and flounder nigiri. For his dessert we ask for a coconut butter toffee cake it was topped with ice cream and caramel drizzle. It was moist and buttery it was good, I could only have two bite before going into a small food coma. My husband was in his zone, happy. This was the best birthday, he said, that he ever had.
